We also restrict access to personal information to those colleagues who need to know in order to provide services to our members.

How does Consumer 1st Federal Credit Union collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example when you:

  • Use your credit or debit card
  • Apply for a credit union product or service
  • Visit our website, provide us with information on any online application or transaction, or information that you send us via email.

Why can’t I limit all Sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only:

  • Sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness
  • Affiliates from using your information to market you
  • Sharing for non affiliates to market you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

Definitions

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and non-financial companies. Consumer 1st Federal Credit Union has no affiliates.

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and non financial companies. Consumer 1st Federal Credit Union does not share information with non affiliates.

Joint Marketing

A formal agreement between non affiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you. Consumer 1st Federal Credit Union does not joint market.
